For this spectacular adventure, we leave early from your hotel headed towards the high pass situated on the boundary between the Sacred Valley and Cusco’s Amazon region. We begin our trek climbing up a beautiful, challenging trail surrounded by impressive views of Andean valleys and striking mountains. Our reward at the top of the pass (4,687 meters / 15,370 ft.) will be incredible views of the snow-covered mountains Pumahuanca and Veronica. After enjoying this magnificent view, we begin our descent across glacial moraines, several streams, and high Andes wetlands until we reach our lunch spot. In the afternoon, we continue the trek across the valley as the vegetation begins to change. Native trees, such as the tastas and queuñas, are now part of the landscape. Finally, just before our pick-up point, we cross a stream. There on the other side, our ride back to Cusco awaits us.
