Day 1: Flight to Cusco + City Tour
Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, a member of our team will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, one of our guides will pick you up to take you on your first guided tour of the city: Sacsayhuaman, located just a few minutes by bus from the city, is one of the most impressive archaeological sites for its megalithic structures. Then, you will return to the city to learn about the history of our main square, where the imposing Cathedral is located, which houses more than 300 paintings from the School of Art of Cusco decorating its historical stone walls.
The last stop will be the Qoricancha, name in Quechua of what was the most important ceremonial center of the Inca Empire and on which the Convent of Santo Domingo was erected, a stunning Baroque style construction that shows the dominance imposed by the Spaniards over the ancient American people.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour
For the Incas and their descendants, the Willcamayu River brought and still brings fertility to the land. This river has its origin in the high mountains, southeast of Cusco, and is perceived as a sacred being. Around the river, there is an extremely fertile valley that we now call the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where several important Inca remains are located.
After about an hour by bus from Cusco, you will arrive at the Pisaq complex, the largest set of terraces in the region, surprising for its engineering and state of preservation. Afterward, you will make a brief visit to the craft market installed across the main square of the town with the same name, where you will be able to appreciate a great sample of the work of the artisans of the nearby villages.
The journey continues along the valley while enjoying beautiful landscapes. The next stop is Ollantaytambo, considered the last living Inca city. Above the town stands an archaeological complex that includes temples, terraces, and other finely built structures during the Inca imperial period.
On the way back to Cusco, you can enjoy a delicious lunch and then continue to our last visit point, Chinchero. Located in the upper part of the Sacred Valley and from where you have impressive views of the Veronica and Chicon snow-capped mountains, this town is popular for the quality of its fabrics made by hand using traditional methods.

Day 3: Hike to Huchuy Qosqo
We’ll leave by car from your hotel towards the Sacred Valley. The trip takes about an hour. We begin the trek on a well-marked trail with a gradual uphill through trees and shrubs native to the area. We continue to the first mountain pass located at approximately 4,300 meters (14,100 ft.) stirred by marvelous panoramic views of Piuray Lake and the majestic sacred Salkantay and Veronica mountains in the distance.
Our journey continues on a nearly flat trail for about two kilometers until we reach the second pass at 4,318 meters (14,160 ft.) This is the highest point of our trek. From here it’s all downhill towards the northeast. As we descend we’ll see more and more vegetation and in some stretches we’ll walk on well-preserved ancient Inca trails. The trail takes us through an imposing rock canyon next to a river which flows through it. Here you’ll see a great diversity of local flora and fauna. We’ll come to a natural lookout where we enjoy our lunch. After lunch we arrive at Huchuy Qosqo, an impressive archaeological site that presents good examples of Inca architecture and rough stone work. It stands out due to its elevation and view towards the valley, as well as for the plowed terraces on the mountainsides. Finally, after exploring this archaeological site, we set out on a challenging, steep downhill trail to the village of Lamay in the Sacred Valley. This is the final point of our exhilarating experience.
